Final Thoughts

So here we are, at the end of the book. You should by now have a really solid plan for your estate agency business and what is going to make you have a business that you can look back on and be proud you started and produced.

If you are anything like me when I read books, it’s more than likely that you have gone through this entire book from start to finish without yet having the chance to implement any of the systems or processes highlighted in the various chapters.

If this is the case, work your way back through this book, chapter by chapter, as you have your next or potentially your first ever property come onto the market. This way, you can make sure as the property moves through your sales pipeline that you get the most bang for your buck from your listing at every turn. If you can, try to be a chapter ahead of the stage the property is currently at. This way, you’ll know what is coming next and how you can correctly leverage this stage of the property's journey for the ultimate success. Studies show that if you implement new techniques and processes as you learn them, you’re far more likely to retain this knowledge for the long haul. You can then turn this into a habit that can help you for a lifetime.

As a final thought, estate agency is an up-and-down world where one minute you can feel like you’re king or queen of the world, and the next you’re recovering from a solid kick in the back. Most days, it’s four seasons in one day on the job. So, for you to personally leap into this world with both hands open, ready to take that all on, takes a certain type of person, and my hat comes off to you for that. No matter what, as you go through your personal and business journey, look after yourself as this is the one part of the world that can never be replaced.

As Rocky Balboa once said: ‘I didn’t hear no bell.”
